Taking a Librarian's Approach
I worked in public and academic libraries for 13 years, and helped people from all walks of life find answers to their various questions. I am curious and diligent, and I don't consider the job complete until my client is satisfied with the answer.Â

Grants
I learned to write grants as a young librarian, and it instantly "clicked". I get to combine my impeccable research skills with my natural curiosity to tell a story to a funder.Â
I have written proposals for, won, and managed federal, organization, and foundation grants.Â

Community
At the heart of everything I do is my need for and love of community. As the African Proverb reads, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
I volunteer in my community in myriads areas, from mentoring children in a county parenting class and assisting my children's teachers, to timing young swimmers at summer swim meets and championing for the human rights.Â
